One click to Paradise! - Spring 2008

Arlen Figgis and I finished editing the video for my song "Blissed out in Paradise". I shot some more footage for this during my return trip to the Maldive Islands in December. Had some great snorkelling and scuba dives and swam with sharks and turtles. Click this link to Paradise!

Archetypes rocking again. - Spring 2008

Arlen Figgis completed a much refreshed and more edgy music video for my song "Rocking with your Archetypes".

Peter Buxton on Radio America - October 2007

I gave an interview to political commentator Alan Nathan on his show "Battle Line" which you can stream from his website www.alannathan.com. Alan was intrigued as to how someone could produce such a diverse album, whilst running a business and a counselling practice. The show is syndicated out to 700 cities and towns across the USA - how cool is that? Especially as he played clips from three songs including "Secret Pleasure Dream"! Thanks again, Alan, and I plan to visit when next in Washingon DC.

Peter's Pilot Film, "The Heart of Music" was used in the sound design for the second series of Dubplate drama. You'll be able to hear the film, coming out of "bones's" TV just before he switches to "the Fyre Crews" Dis track. It's in Episode 6 out on November 1st on Channel 4 at 12.30am, it is also repeated on E4, MTVone and MTVBase see www.dubplatedrama.tv for details.

Podcasting - October 2007

Richard Kondal and I just started on a programme of podcast recording which we will undertake through the winter. We plan to cover diverse subjects encompassing creativity, travel, archetypes / Sacred Contracts, spirituality and of course my music.

A Torrid Time Stopped Play ... well almost - Summer 2007

Disgraceful to admit, but we took only a few days recording music as business, family and other commitments took over. I surrendered to this and the rain but got to Jersey to surf and also to sample a Strange form of Travel - the segway! Segways may be great for Central Park, New York where I've seen them, but probably not rural Wiltshire.

We English Love Our Animals - September 2007

Don't you love the paraphernalia which people buy their pets - diamante dog-collars, tartan coats etc? Horse-mad people buy stuff like the rug here, modelled by Dante. To celebrate the English spirit of devotion to their pets, Richard and I recorded a song called "The Perfect Gift", slightly in the style of Lemon Jelly. Will remix it ready for download soon!

Fund Raising for Zambian School - August 2007

A new project fell in my lap - to help expand the reading library for 3 - 12 year old children at Chingola Jacaranda School in Zambia - I visit there while on business every year. Many kind people sponsored my daughter who did a horse ride through Wessex with a friend to raise money. Then Cheam School arranged a collection of second hand children's books and games. We are sending everything to the children soon.

Dearly Beloved as theme tune for TV show in New York State - Spring 2007

Peter Occhiogrosso, renowned author of Frank Zappa's biography and writer on world religions, was running a TV show called "Eye on Woodstock," on Public Access TV in New York State. He asked if he could use my song, "Dearly Beloved" as the opening theme tune for the show. Of course I said Yes! Peter O, reviews the local art scene of the Hudson valley region, is now acting as editor of our book on Russian artist Nicholas Roerich. Anyway, that was fun: for a time, "Dearly Beloved" was broadcasting around Woodstock and other fabled regions of New York State.

Rocking with your Archetypes! - The Music Video - March 2007

Finally finished editing the video for this eclectic hip-hop track based on my studies in Chicago on the language of archetypes and how they infuse our psyche within every arena of life. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Passion for Life

Launched in 2007, Peter's album 'Passion for Life' is a wild exploration of dance, funk and down-tempo grooves. The songs embody an eclectic mix of styles, expressing themes of travel, every day life, spirituality and the unseen world. You can listen to clips of the songs on the Music page.

Peter continues to record songs between business and family commitments. There are no deadlines in this creative process and the music is suffused with experimentation and hedonistic abandonment. He enjoys the fellowship and input of other musicians, so he regularly involves other musicians to play on his songs. Recording for the next album continues with engineer, Richard Kondal, whilst looking for a decent distribution deal.

You can listen to clips of all the tracks on Peter's album in the Music Section

Make More Music! - Spring 2007

Not enough hours in the day and busy with the Roerich book project, so time for music is limited; all part of the ebb and flow of creative endeavour. I still got together with my old Limen Company buddies for drumming and chanting. When the snow came our donkey was not best pleased: "The grass is gone - give me some hay!"

Blissed out in Paradise - December 2006

Richard and I recorded a dreamy chill out song called 'Blissed out in Paradise' prior to my trip to the Maldive Islands for Christmas with the family. I shot some film to put with the song (more stuff to edit!). We languished in luxury on a palm-fringed island, pottering the beach and diving with vivid coral and fish. It really is a perfect let-go place.
